With the DC Shoes international skate team heading down under, DC Australia requested a portal be developed to promote the tour.
After analyzing the tour event we developed an interactive flash based mini-site that incorporated a blog, which allowed the team to post daily videos, photos and stories while on tour. The site also included team bios, product recommendations a competition and detailed information on each of the 6 stops on the tour.
With over 6000 people entering this increased DC Australias database by 350%.
The blog generated huge interested in the Aus Tour with visitors returning to the site and average of 11 times each week for updates.
Once the tour was completed DC released a 25 minute podcast hosted on the website, the podcast was downloaded over 630000 times in the first 72 hours of its release.
